Fashion Care Guide
We hope you treasure your Jasper Conran London pieces and that they become trusted companions in your wardrobe for years to come.
Beautiful garments deserve thoughtful care. Below, you’ll find guidance on wearing, washing, storing, and preserving your pieces to extend their life and maintain their elegance.
General Care
-
Delicate fabrics such as silk and knitwear require extra care during wear. Avoid sharp objects that may pull or snag yarns.
-
Allow garments to rest for at least one day between wears.
-
Repair small issues promptly to prevent further damage.
-
Spare buttons are enclosed with the garment, store them safely for future use.
-
If you are unsure about repairs, a professional dry cleaner can assist.
Washing & Laundry
Always follow the care label inside your garment, it provides the best guidance for washing, drying, ironing, and dry cleaning.
Key Care Principles
-
Avoid bleach, it may alter the colour of your garment.
-
We do not recommend tumble drying, as it may shrink or damage natural fibres.
-
Air drying is gentler on fabrics and more sustainable.
-
Use low heat when ironing, or light steaming when suitable.
-
Wash similar fabrics and colours together to avoid colour transfer and fibre damage.
-
Only wash when necessary, airing between wears helps extend garment life.
Use appropriate detergents:
-
Specialist detergent for wool
-
Non-biological detergent for cotton and linen
Avoid harsh sunlight when drying, as it may fade colours.
Fabric-Specific Care
Silk
All silk pieces are dry clean only.
Silk is exceptionally delicate and should be professionally cleaned to preserve its texture and vibrant colour.
-
Store hanging or folded in tissue paper for longer storage
-
Keep in a dark, dry space
-
Use a cool iron only if needed, with great care
Wool
Wool has natural self-cleaning properties and often only needs airing between wears.
Spot clean small marks gently when needed.
Wool Knitwear
-
Hand wash in lukewarm water or dry clean (follow label instructions)
-
Avoid wringing or rubbing
-
Dry flat on a towel and reshape while damp
-
Fold and store flat to maintain shape
Pilling is natural and can be removed with a cashmere comb. Over time, it reduces.
Wool Coats
-
Dry clean only
-
Brush gently downward to maintain the brushed surface
-
Hang on a properly sized hanger
-
At season’s end, dry clean before storing in a garment bag with natural moth repellents

Machine wash at low temperatures using non-biological detergent
-
Avoid overcrowding the washing machine
-
Line dry and reshape while damp
-
Avoid tumble drying
-
Store in a dark, dry place
